The Clovis Chamber of Commerce Salute to Business Luncheon is held annually during January at a local, Clovis venue. This is the time to say farewell and honor the 2018 team and welcome the new faces in 2019.

Following a delicious lunch, awards will be presented to honor those going the extra mile for the Chamber and the Clovis community.

Outgoing Chair Jimmy Dunn of California Health Sciences University will pass the gavel to incoming Chair, Matthew Grundy, of Habitat for Humanity. The Chamber delivers a robust roster of events, programs, and initiatives to boost business and economic success. The Chamber provides leadership on issues important to business and takes collective action to advance sustainable economic growth and a better Clovis for all those who live, work and play in our city and region.

Exciting updates will be shared at this year’s Annual Luncheon. The Clovis Chamber team is planning to further expand our membership base by providing networking and educational value to help our members grow their businesses. We are excited about the enhanced membership directory on our website, the Community Lifestyle guide, and our digital magazine, The Chamber Review, that will continue the expansion of the Clovis Chamber of Commerce brand.

City of Clovis, Director of Planning, Dwight Kroll will be recognized at the 2019 Salute to Business Luncheon as the 2018 recipient of the Einar Cook Award. Dwight’s visionary genius can be seen in the steady expansion of popular areas of Clovis – from Centennial Plaza to the newer SoFi expansion to the pathways between buildings throughout Old Town Clovis, Dwight has ensured this growth to be as painless as possible from an urban planning standpoint.

Businessperson of the Year:
Pat V. Ricchiuti, P-R Farms

This year, we are proud to award Pat V. Ricchiuti the honor of Businessperson of the Year. He is regarded as a foremost agriculture leader that is a long-time supporter of local community-based schools and organizations. Pat graduated from Fresno State in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business and Plant Science. Just seven years later, he was named California Young Farmer of the Year. As a pivotal leader in local, state, and national agriculture associations, Pat received a wide range of awards throughout his nearly 40 year career. Today, Pat serves as President of P-R Farms, Inc., Palomate Packing Company, Inc., ENZO Olive Oil Company, and ENZO’s TABLE. His companies attract wide recognition: P-R Farms, Inc. is the Agricultural Business of the Year by Baker, Peterson and Franklin, CPA, LLP and “Industry of the Year” by the Clovis Chamber of Commerce. Pat’s spirit of contribution goes beyond his chosen field of agriculture—He supports our Central Valley residents as longtime Trustee for Fresno State’s Bulldog Foundation and a 20-year Board of Trustee for Valley Children’s Hospital. With his wife, Vinci Petrosino Ricchiuti, Pat received additional notable accolades for his educational philanthropic work, including awards from Fresno State, Clovis Schools, St. Agnes. In 1985, Pat V. Ricchiuti was the Executive Director Award recipient for Clovis Chamber of Commerce. We now congratulate him the Businessperson of the Year honor to add to his long and deserving list of tributes.

Her involvement goes back to the beginning, when she first owned Fashion Crossroads in Old Town Clovis. This was where she first became involved with the Clovis Chamber of Commerce. Since that time, Ellie has been a Clovis Chamber Ambassador for the past 30 years and sat on the Clovis Chamber Board of Directors for over 25 years. She also actively volunteers in many community organizations such as B.O.O.T., Clovis Tourism, Hind’s Hospice, and more.
