CLOVIS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE HONORS LOCAL LEADERS AT THE
2023 SALUTE TO BUSINESS LUNCHEON

January 19, 2023 – Clovis, CA.

The Clovis Chamber of Commerce is starting off the New Year by honoring community leaders at their 2023 Salute to Business Luncheon on Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm at the Clovis Veterans Memorial District.

 

The outgoing Clovis Chamber Board Chair, Rob Cozzi will reflect on the many achievements of 2022. Incoming Chair, Michelle DiBuduo will provide an update for the new year of chamber events and programs.

 

Meet the Clovis Chamber of Commerce’s honorees:

Sheriff Margaret Mims, former Sheriff for Fresno County will receive the Einar Cook Leadership Award. This honor is bestowed upon the individual that effectively transforms their vision for the Clovis community into reality. Sheriff Mims embodies the humble, unselfish, and visionary qualities of Einar Cook in her efforts to make Clovis, and all of Fresno County, a better place to work, live, and raise children.

The Vidmar Family, of Anlin Windows will be honored as the Professional Businessperson of the Year. Anlin Windows has become an icon of Clovis at the corner of Tollhouse and Fowler Avenues with their faith, patriotism, and support of the Clovis Way of Life. The Vidmar family is a proud partner of our community with Anlin Windows and Doors employing over 625 team members.

QK Engineering will be recognized as the Business of the Year. Since 1972, QK has successfully partnered with cities, counties, state entities, and other public agencies to develop efficient solutions that have lasting positive impacts on Central Valley communities. At it’s core, QK prides itself on the ability to offer in-house, programmatic professional services that serve its diverse clientele.

Former Councilmembers Jose Flores and Bob Whalen will both receive the Community Impact Award for their dedicated years of service to the City of Clovis.

Councilmember Jose Flores was elected to the Clovis City Council in 1999 where he served six consecutive terms, three of them serving as Mayor. In his 24 years of service to the City of Clovis, Councilmember Flores has been a part of nearly every significant contribution the city has made to our community and residents.

Councilmember Bob Whalen has served on the Clovis City Council for 20 years after being elected in 2003, serving five consecutive terms, two of which serving as Mayor. Councilmember Whalen has been involved with or spearheaded many projects that have brought great value to those who live, work and visit the City of Clovis.

David Bonnar, of Vector Sports Aviation will receive the Chamber Board Director of the Year award for his commitment and dedication to the Clovis Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors and its membership.

Vanessa Puopolo, of the Fresno/Clovis Convention & Visitors Bureau will receive the Clovis Chamber Ambassador of the Year Award. Vanessa became a Chamber Ambassador in 2018 and has become an essential part of retaining and growing the Chamber Membership with her warm and friendly personality.
